Event Details
Ukraine’s post-war reconstruction and recovery will require monumental levels of private investment.
While this will be a unique opportunity from both a business and human perspective, it will also present unique commercial, legal, and coordination risks for investors. Many investors are not yet prepared for these risks. This is likely to limit broad-based investment with consequences for the pace and breadth of Ukraine’s recovery.
Free Forum Registration Gala Dinner Tickets
The Forum will complement global discussions on Ukrainian reconstruction by focussing on those challenges, as well as the opportunities. It will present diverse perspectives by bringing together Ukrainian and Luxembourgish ministers, multilateral lenders investors and asset managers, direct foreign investors and Ukrainian project sponsors, legal advisors and consultancies, and multilateral financial institutions.
Participants will highlight the specific obstacles that are likely to limit investors’ ability to deploy capital in post-war Ukraine, and will engage in the practical work needed to develop instruments and approaches that will enable a wider range of investors to participate in Ukraine’s reconstruction and renewal.
With its financial market infrastructure that supports the asset management industry globally, and its range of European institutions essential to the public aspects of Ukrainian reconstruction and EU accession, Luxembourg is ideally positioned for this discussion.
